Petti and Evan
Petti Barnett’s goal is to gain a scholarship playing basketball in college. Being the star forward taking her team to State, she can’t afford any mistakes. She definitely can’t afford getting mixed up with the rumored gangster.
Evan Shae is back at school for his last semester of high school, hoping to stay under the radar. All he needs to do is keep his head down and not get into any fights. That’s hard to do when everyone thinks his deceased brother was a gangster who murdered two men and that Evan’s absences from school were time spent in jail. He finds new hope for his future in drawing, with opportunities for Art school on his horizon.
Petti, intrigued by the dark, mysterious boy, doesn’t believe the rumors. Always bold and never fearful, she intrudes in his life forcing her friendship on him. Evan’s good heart and amazing talent in art reveal themselves to Petti, no matter how much Evan tries to keep Petti at a distance.
Todd Keller, aka “Killer”, has been released from prison and spends no time seeking out Evan. Killer wants to finish what was started four years earlier with Evan’s brother. Killer knows that Evan was a witness to that day’s events, although Evan has no memory of it. Evan does all he can to evade Killer, but Petti has no qualms jumping into the danger hoping to get Killer off Evan’s back.
But everything backfires. Petti gets arrested and loses her scholarship. She comes up with a plan to catch Killer once and for all, but things go awry again. On the night of Evan’s art show, his suppressed memories come roaring back and they just may save Petti.
